Who We Are

Our philosophy

We believe therapy is collaborative. You are the expert on yourself- we are the expert on mental health. Together we can be unstoppable!

We believe in putting in the work. Showing up is a major step, and in order to get the results you want, it’s not enough. We trust that you will show up, do the best you can, and put forth effort towards different aspects we discuss throughout the session in order for you to be able to live the life you desire!

We know therapy is beneficial to anyone and everyone. Nobody is too far gone and no problem is too great to overcome. We encourage you to take the plunge and reach out to us so we can work with you and be your biggest advocate and encourager!

About Me

I currently live in Kyle with my sister and my dog, Gunner! You can find me on the weekends reading (my favorite genres are horror, romance, and self-discovery), listening to True Crime Podcasts (mostly Crime Junkie, Inhuman, Anatomy of Murder, The Deck, and Blood Money), watching Netflix (always with the tried and true Gilmore Girls, Grey’s Anatomy, and New Girl), and scrolling endlessly on my phone through tiktok (probably watching nail tutorials, story times, and of course all the cute animal vids!). When I want to be more active I love going on walks with the pup, swimming in my pool, or going to my cycling class! I also love trips to Smoothie King and Starbucks. I guess all of these come with being a Millen-Z, what can I say?

My Approach

I take a gentle approach, going at your pace, so we can build up the trust between us. First I want to give you the tools and skills you need to live a better day-to-day life. Once we have that covered, we can start to wade a bit deeper into the underlying issues that are causing your daily/weekly symptoms. I am also very open to feedback! If I am doing something you don’t like and that isn’t helpful please by all means, bring it up! You literally can’t offend me. If I don’t know that something isn’t working for you, I won’t change anything and then you’re wasting time and money to come see me… I don’t want that!! We are both here for your betterment, so let’s make sure you’re getting what you need; It’s a part of me being your biggest advocate!

Education/Experience

I graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2017 with my bachelor’s in psychology. From there I went on to become an addiction’s counselor at my local hospital where I served in a residential unit for adolescent men ages 12-18. In 2020 I graduated from Northwestern University with my master’s in counseling. I have been in the private practice realm since the beginning of 2019 and absolutely love it!

Specializations/Training

I have specialized training in working with adolescents, adults, addiction, anxiety, depression, feeding/eating disturbances, sex, and trauma. I am an EMDR trained clinician. I strongly value learning and growth. We have never “reached’ the epitome of our knowledge; rather we are constantly growing and expanding our knowledge! I strive to consistently gain more information from those more specialized than I am in order to continue providing the best therapy to you!
